The Data Protection Officer is in charge of ensuring the compliance of MSC Cruises and its affiliates with the Data Protection requirements applicable worldwide (such as the EU GDPR, the Swiss FADP and similar legislation in other areas).The jobholder will assist in the updating and maintenance of the data protection system of MSC Cruises and will carry out the monitoring of its implementation to ensure that the Company Group meets its regulatory requirements.
•Provides legal advice regarding data protection and security legislations Worldwide, ensuring consistency between global and local requirements;
•Contributes to determine and put in place a global governance program which allows monitoring and provides proof of compliance to the regulations;
•Rolls-out comprehensive Data Protection policies and procedures/guidelines in cooperation with the other functions involved such as Corporate Business innovation, HR and IT;
•Implements necessary employee trainings;
•Continuously monitors the Company’s compliance efforts and carries out gap analysis;
•Advises the teams accordingly on the implication of Data Privacy in Marketing policies;
•Ensures robust procedures to comply with Data protection for all Data Controllers and Data Processors of the company;
•Keeps track of required documentation as proof of compliance.
•Fluent in French and English both oral and written. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
•Master's degree in Law or similar field including data privacy/protection focus;
•Legal background and 3-5 year experience in a law firm and/or legal department of a multinational company with proven experience in Data Protection and IT Law;
•Solid knowledge of European data protection legal framework;
•Excellent research, drafting and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills;
•Strong attention to detail and sense of confidentiality;
•Ability to work in team and autonomously;
•Ability to work in an international environment and to communicate various stakeholders.
