In redefining luxury ocean travel, Explora Journeys believes entertaining and engaging guests while encouraging them to dive deep and immerse themselves in all a journey has to offer is vital to an Ocean State of Mind. That’s where you come in. The Entertainment Manager will lead the onboard Entertainment/Enrichment team in creating a transformative luxury ocean travel experience for our guests.
- Lead the Entertainment/Enrichment department, ensuring a smooth operation, executed to a high standard.
- Oversee all aspects of entertainment and activities, including, but not limited to performances, social gatherings, chef’s kitchen, luminary seminars, deck activities, games, and religious services.
- Encourage effective teamwork through building trust, sharing knowledge and experience, and promoting cooperation within the Entertainment Department and externally, with other shipboard departments.
- Coordinate with other department heads to prepare journey planning/schedules.
- Proficient in English. Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
- Proven organisational and leadership skills.
- Successful background as a presenter (on stage or other visual media). Strong ability to deliver Public Address announcements and to present with authority, accuracy, clarity, and charisma.
- Wide knowledge of Entertainment and Enrichment events and activities.
- Musical knowledge and instrumentation skills are not necessary but considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of similar competitive products in the Cruise and luxury resort industry. Experience in diverse multinational operations.
Valid passport and preferably Seaman's book.
