JOB PURPOSE

MSC IT department is seeking an experienced Service Manager who is passionate about providing robust and continuous user experience with Analytics solutions. The candidate should be able to work independently in dynamic environment in agile manner, prioritize workload, and adhere to tight deadlines, within a collaborative team environment. He/she can work both at tactical and strategic levels and will be responsible for support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence, Data Visualization and Advanced Analytics solutions as well as troubleshooting, and design, development, implementation, and support of change requests.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Act as a primary contact for all internal users’ queries and issues in Analytics space
• Perform incident analysis, triage them and suggest action plan to address those
• Conduct risk assessment and develop mitigation plans
• Provide Service Management Analytics support for new releases and deployments
• Work with Analytics Application Maintenance support team to support internal users
• Interact with business teams to understand service level agreements and communicate the same to Application Maintenance support team
• Mentor and direct team members for timely completion of assigned projects / tasks
• Conduct team meetings on regular basis to discuss about project issues and status
• Work with the team to develop incident management and service improvement plans
• Oversee software and infrastructure upgrades, modifications and deployments
• Maintain all documentations for deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and problem resolution activities
• Ensure the Analytics Application support team follows best practices and maintain service level agreements
• Monitor performance and advise any necessary infrastructure changes
• Ensure optimal end-user experience by establishing a system performance assessment
• Collaborate with other BI Specialists and Data Engineers on data models and architecture principles to build out robust data solutions including data ingestion, dashboards, reports and Self-Service BI
• Look for opportunities to improve current processes by applying industry data management best practices and maintain integrity of the data strategy
• Manage Analytics projects in collaboration with MSC technology partners
• Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction through the implementation, investigation, analysis and training with attention to communication and relationships
• Clearly communicate and drive discussions on issues and insights, context, and impacts with business and technology partners

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

• At least 5 years of proven experience in similar position within support and change management for enterprise analytics solutions and integrations
• Degree in Computer Science, IT / IT management, systems analysis, or a comparable qualification in a technology or engineering discipline
• Deep knowledge of cloud solutions, IaaS and PaaS, with specific expertise in support of data warehouses and data marts solutions
• Strong understanding of analytics design and typical issues around those
• Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in SQL
• Data auditing skills to verify data integrity, understand discrepancies, and resolve them effectively
• Familiarity with Data Governance processes and best practices in a context of BI and Advanced Analytics
• Business acumen, leadership and strong business facing and communication skills, analytical rigor, problem solving and attention to details
• Proved knowledge and experience of DevOps / DataOps best practices and automation of documentation, testing, build, deployment, configuration, and monitoring, any certification is an advantage
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, Service Now and other project management tools
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
