In line with current and future tourism trends, the Shore Excursions Pre-cruise Sales Manager oversees MSC tours pre-cruise sales performance, sets special agreements with MSC international offices, for both Individuals and Groups, coordinates contents and promotions on B2B and B2C channels, aiming to maximize revenue and improve guest satisfaction.
- Understanding the needs of the customers and responds effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
- Setting, along with the Shorex business requirements and objectives, pre-sales revenue target, per Year, Season and Area, defining single Markets objectives, for Individuals and Groups, B2B and B2C shares, and communicates to all involved parties.
- Carrying out sales analysis and forecasts and presenting data to management.
- Enhancing Shore Excursions sales performance, focusing on pre-cruise, aiming to exceed revenue targets YOY by:
o Defining appropriate pricing for offers and sales actions to enhance pre-cruise sales of shore excursions for all destinations.
o Discussing promotional strategy and activities (commissions, special rates, and any related actions) with the sales and revenue MSC departments worldwide.
o Setting strategic plans, along with the marketing MSC department (B2B and B2C), to improve visibility of the Shore Excursions business through the available channels.
- Sharing performance (customer and revenue oriented) guidelines and expectations to Shorex Groups department, coordinating and supervising their activities.
- Keeping abreast of trends and changes in the operating area and seeks ways of improving the business accordingly
- Attending seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
- 3+ years’ experience in a Sales Oriented department.
- 2+ years’ experience in the Cruises Shore Excursion Department is preferred.
- Fluent English. Knowledge of any additional language is a great advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Publisher.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems (business intelligence, SAP, Qlik Sense)
- Flexibility.
- Strong Analytical Skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
