The Head of B2B and B2C Digital Channels Technology is responsible to manage a specific unit within the Digital Technology Department, with focus on the management of B2C websites technological solutions dedicated to customers and B2B e-commerce platforms dedicated to travel agencies. The role will oversee a team of approximately 20+ people, as well as external suppliers, and will be responsible for the overall management of existing systems, including change requests/enhancements analysis, design and development, systems operations, monitoring, maintenance, and incident management as per the requirements agreed with Business Owners. The successful candidate will be fully accountable for the unit technological choices in alignment with the company and department strategy. This role will collaborate with the other units of the Digital Technology Department, offering expertise, knowledge, and technical advice to provide support to the key stakeholders of the company.
•Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring successful delivery of technology initiatives within budget, scope, and timeline;
•Guide internal teams or vendors, and handle conflict and critical situations with other organizational areas, especially the business department;
•Identify issues and implement improvement and innovation measures, including a complete rethinking of processes, tools, or team structure;
•Proactive communication with stakeholders, manage escalations, provide executive summaries, and ensure promptly information to executives regarding the systems/project status and any challenges/issues;
•Take decisions in e-commerce technological field (especially B2C) considering specific inputs and requests of the business thanks to deep experience in maintaining online product sales platforms, particularly in complex scenarios;
•Define the annual budget consistently with business requirements;
•Manage demand: interact with business owners to identify their needs and priorities, conduct feasibility analyses, manage capacity, budget, plan, and backlog;
•Provide guidance during the identification of solution architectures and technical solution to fulfill business needs;
•Manage operations and incidents: coordinate and manage service managers and operations teams to monitor system health and respond to incidents as needed;
•Execute as-is systems change requests and enhancements: design solutions, detailed planning, execution monitoring and issue management, reporting to business owners, delivery and release into production, countries roll-out;
•Collaborate with the unit in charge of digital transformation program delivery, within transformation projects which impact own systems;
•Interact with other company departments, especially IT (incl. Cyber Security), business owners, and local markets.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field;•At least 15 years of hands-on experience in managing digital technological services for e-commerce and related projects, with a proven track record of success, taking ownership and making decisive choices;
•Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing teams of at least 20 people, and a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams;
•Strong decision-making autonomy, with ability to make data-driven choices;•Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities, adept at managing challenging situations and finding mutually beneficial resolutions;
•A deep understanding of the digital landscape, including emerging technologies and trends;
•Deep knowledge of most popular CMS and e-commerce architectures, platform and technologies, including Sitecore, Adobe, HCL WCS.s;
•Strong budget management skills, with experience managing budgets of $10+ millions;
•Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with experience interacting with business owners, IT departments, and other key stakeholders;
•Strong project management skills, with experience managing projects from inception to delivery;
•Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA, Service Now;
•Understanding of cyber security best practices and the ability to work closely with the company's cyber security department to ensure data security and privacy;
•Experience working in a global organization, with an understanding of cultural differences and a willingness to adapt to new environments;
•Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues;
•Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data on platforms’ performances and make data-driven decisions;
•Open to frequently travel to Company’s local offices, Supplier venues and other Company’s locations.
