LINE MANAGER: Head of Crew Experience
Working closely with our Crew Office, benchmark the onboard organization’s compensation system to determine its competitiveness and review the current set-up in order to ensure equitable and balanced compensation across the crew organisation.
Compensation Management:
-Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure the company's compensation packages for crew members remain competitive and in line with industry standards.
-Working closely with Crew Office, update onboard Salary Scales (Wages & Bonuses) and regularly review salary structures, ensuring pay equity and consistent compensation practices across different crew positions.
-Review crew salary data from internal benchmarking providing recommendations for salary adjustments and incentives as necessary and ensure communication to all stakeholders.
-Liaising with different departments, manage (both updating procedures and performing calculations) targets for monthly and yearly bonus.-Work with the Crew Office to build and follow up the yearly crew budget.
Benefits Administration:
-Review and regularly update company crew privilege scheme to ensure alignment with external market, respect of ship setup, and fairness across positions.
-Manage crew benefit programs: collaborate with external vendors and brokers to negotiate cost-effective benefit plans without compromising the quality of benefits provided to the crew.
-Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor the effectiveness and utilization of benefits, making improvements or changes as needed.
-Support clear communications to crew members regarding their benefits.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
-Utilize HRIS and other systems to manage and analyze compensation and benefits data, setting up reports to support decision-making.
-Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of compensation and benefits programs.
-Support the operations in simulation & proposal of new rewarding systems.
-Master's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
-10+ years’ experience in Compensation and Benefits management in the maritime industry
-Familiarity with international maritime labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
-Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and cultures.
-Total attention to detail
-Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
-Fluency in English is required, Italian is a strong plus.
