LINE MANAGER: Tax Senior Manager
As a Tax Senior Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Group's tax policies across legal entities. Your role will involve reviewing and assessing the accuracy and appropriateness of data, reports, and other deliverables crucial for tax compliance, planning, and addressing inquiries from tax authorities and advisors. Key to your success in this role will be strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of business processes and their tax implications.
• Develop and oversee a monthly tax reporting process to maintain consistency with the Group's transfer pricing and other tax policies
• Support the Group in external tax reporting, including Country by Country Reporting and Pillar 2 GloBE
• Assist Corporate Accounting in designing, implementing, and reviewing reconciliation/validation procedures to confirm completeness and accuracy of taxable income and tax basis
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Corporate Accounting, IT, Legal, etc.) for data collection and provision of related information to external advisors for compliance and ad-hoc analysis supporting tax audits and other projects
• Review tax books, records, and deliverables for the Group's entities to ensure year-end tax compliance
• Review tax basis/income deliverables for quarterly tax provision/estimated payments
• Support data gathering and analysis for forecasting taxable income
• Conduct detailed reviews of consolidated tax provisions and disclosures
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Finance Transformation, Group IT, and other stakeholders on process changes to enhance tax reporting
• Maintain legal entity hierarchies and organizational charts
In addition, this position will assist in the design, implementation and execution of process improvements and new initiatives to support the Group’s tax processes
• Degree in Law and/or Economics, a formal tax qualification is a plus
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, required from either one of the Big 4 Advisory firms or within the tax department of a multinational Group
• Experience in the international transport industry is a strong advantage
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to efficiently gather data and information from diverse resources and individuals at various levels within the Group
• Detail-oriented with an organized and efficient approach to record-keeping
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English
