We are looking for a IT Specialist - Database in our Naples office, the major service delivery center in the Group.

In a very dynamic and growing IT dept, the Database Specialist reports to the Senior Database Specialist and will be responsible to conceptualize, design, set standards and implement database environments in challenging projects.
-Set strategies & help the unit in adopting the right database solution(s);
-Manage service life cycle of various database products: (introduce, deploy, maintain, and retire it);
-Design and setup database solutions and set up of standards;
-Design, setup & configure high availability for database solutions;
-Support operations team with performance analyses and optimizations on databases;
-Define key performance indicators for database components;
-Setup backup and recovery standards for various database solutions;
-Guide operations teams in adopting the right standards and configuration;
-Build and maintain relationships with other IT units, IT architects, developers, and IT project managers.
-Fluent in English, oral and written. Any other language is an advantage;
-Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, engineering or equivalent;
-Must have at least 3+ years of experience as a Database administrator;
-Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and to deliver with stretched deadlines;
-Have good communication skills to align the stakeholders;
Hands-On experience with:
-In-depth knowledge of Oracle DB 12 to 19c, MS SQL 2016 to 2022;
-Good knowledge of MS SQL Managed Instances on Azure;
-Good knowledge of MySQL (InnoDB cluster) and Couchbase solutions;
-Good knowledge of Oracle configuration/setup on EXADATA;
-Knowledge of Oracle solutions like GoldenGate & GoldenGate for BigData;
-Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a plus;
-Knowledge of DevOps & Database automation (using Ansible) is a plus;
-Experience in designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions.
