The Architectural Project Manager is responsible for managing project backlogs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, and leading the execution of integration projects across various departments under the governance of the Enterprise Architecture team. This role involves coordinating with teams and stakeholders, adjusting plans, and acting as a liaison between technical and business sides. Key skills include strong project management, understanding of SAFe, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to meet strategic and architectural goals.
•Oversee the Enterprise Architecture activities and make sure their work supports the main project goals and company strategies;
•Organize and prioritize tasks for SAFe and Waterfall projects within the team to improve efficiency and project results;
•Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of both SAFe and Waterfall projects;
•Build and maintain the Enterprise Architecture backlog in Jira for SAFe and Waterfall projects;
•Regularly review project lists and workloads, adjusting strategies to match evolving business needs and architectural goals;
•Work with different teams to integrate agile and traditional project management methods smoothly into company processes;
•Track and report the team's project performance, using metrics to measure progress towards strategic aims;
•Ensure good communication within the Enterprise Architecture team and with other departments, keeping everyone informed about project updates, risks, and dependencies;
•Lead the execution of integration projects, coordinating across various departments and teams.
•Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing project backlogs and leading the execution of integration projects. This includes planning, executing, and delivering projects effectively;
•Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for maintaining good relationships within the Enterprise Architecture team and with other departments, including regular updates on project status, risks, and dependencies;
•Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework): Understanding and experience with SAFe, which is important for organizing and prioritizing tasks within the team;
•Experience with Waterfall Project Management: Familiarity with Waterfall project management methodology, as the role requires managing both SAFe and Waterfall projects;
•Proficiency in Tools like Jira: Skills in using project management and backlog maintenance tools such as Jira, particularly for managing Enterprise Architecture backlogs;
•Strategic Planning and Adaptation: Capability to review and adjust project lists and workloads in alignment with evolving business needs and architectural goals;
•Integration Skills: Experience in working with different teams to integrate agile and traditional project management methods into company processes;
•Performance Tracking and Reporting: Ability to track and report on the team’s project performance using metrics to measure progress towards strategic aims;
•Cross-functional Collaboration: Skill in fostering cross-functional collaboration to meet strategic and architectural goals, and controlling project execution across various departments;
•Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to adjust plans and act as a liaison between technical and business sides, addressing any challenges that arise in the process;
•International and Dynamic Work Environment Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and international setting, given MSC Cruises' global operations.
