We are seeking a highly organized and meticulous individual to specialize in monitoring MSC US Fleet Shipboard Orders and Inventory Management. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and accurate tracking of ordering schedules to guarantee timely transmission of (RDA) Requests for Acquisition or Master Orders for food, beverage, uniforms, and hotel products required by our ships. This role supports the Manager, Shipboard Orders and Inventory, in achieving team goals for shipboard stock levels, cost and stock targets, par levels adherence, and established KPIs for effective inventory management and accuracy.
Inventory Management: Monitor shipboard stock levels within par levels and ensure adherence to KPIs.
Reporting: Deliver timely reports on food, beverage, uniforms, and hotel inventory.
Analysis: Conduct stock analysis, targets revisions, and provide feedback to operations. Extract and analyze data to support decision-making.
Coordination: Work with Ships Inventory, Accounting, and Food & Beverage Operations departments to update all participants on changes concurring that affects inventory.
Forecasting: Supports monitoring forecasting for F&B, hotel, and uniforms and report variances on execution.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with established timelines, global calendars, and monitoring of the timely transmissions of RDA/Master Orders within datelines.
Training: Train and supervise shipboard staff on inventory management best practices.

- Monitoring request orders RDA/Master Orders and validates adherence with par levels, inventory in transit and current stock on hand.
- Ensuring adherence to par levels and monitoring onboard consumption.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of ordered supplies.
- Support monitoring inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Extracting and analyzing relevant information from various data sources to support the shipboard and shore teams.
- Maintain periodic reports for inventory analytics.
- Ensuring the correctness and validity of all necessary data analysis.
- Propose actions based on insights gained from analysis.
- Assist with the implementation of inventory management systems and procedures.
- Conduct training of shipboard staff on inventory management best practices.
- Delivers timely reports on food, beverage, uniforms, and hotel inventory.
- Ensure alignment with Procurement, Logistics, and Master list using available tools.
- Coordinate with Food & Beverage Operations managers and Hotel Operations.
- Support the team in month-end closing, forecasting activities, and any other needs.
- Follow new processes on ad hoc menu changes impacting forecasting.
- Participates in cross-functional business projects and performs ad hoc analysis upon request.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related hospitality field.
- Understanding of the food and/or beverage market products is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a maritime or shipboard environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software; knowledge of MMS/CrunchTime is preferable.
- Advanced user of Excel required; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Target-oriented, with diligence and an elevated level of accuracy.
- Good understanding of budget and forecasting processes.
