LINE MANAGER: Senior IT System Analyst
The IT “Procurement and Logistics” Systems Specialist provides support to Procurement and logistic IT Systems projects delivery and maintenance. Overseeing and maintaining Procurement and Logistic production and testing systems, scheduling legacy systems operations and integration, monitoring output and report distribution.
1) Project Delivery and Maintenance: The specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and upkeep of IT systems related to procurement and logistics. This involves:
• Providing technical support to project teams
• Troubleshooting issues and resolving problems
• Ensuring systems meet operational requirements
2) System Oversight and Maintenance: The specialist is responsible for the health and performance of production and testing systems used in procurement and logistics. This includes:
• Monitoring system performance and identifying bottlenecks
• Scheduling maintenance and upgrades
• Ensuring data integrity and accuracy
3) Legacy Systems Integration: The specialist manages the integration of legacy systems into the procurement and logistics landscape. This involves:
• Identifying compatibility issues
• Developing integration strategies
• Overseeing the implementation process
4) Output and Report Distribution: The specialist is responsible for ensuring that the output from procurement and logistics systems is distributed accurately and timely. This includes:
• Scheduling report generation and distribution
• Monitoring the accuracy of reports
• Addressing any issues related to report delivery
5) Support
• Provide comprehensive first and second-level support for all procurement and logistics IT systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to system functionality, data integrity, and user access.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as required.
• From 3 to 8 years of experience in the field
• Oracle DB and SQL Language skills
• Knowledge of system architecture design
• Knowledge of CrunchTime
• Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system integration is highly preferred.
• Experience in Cruise Industry and related software is a preferential skill
• Fluent English and Italian (spoken and written)
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Good organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment
• Availability to travel.
