MSC Cruises, the world's third largest cruise line brand is expanding its US operations and creating an Onboard Revenue team within its commercial function. As the Vice President of Onboard Revenue – U.S. Commercial, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies to maximize pre-paid revenue to create and achieve company targets for U.S. and Canada guests booked with MSC Cruises. You will oversee product strategy, merchandising, pricing, promotion, and marketing of key onboard revenue areas in close collaboration with cross-functional teams in the U.S. and Geneva, Switzerland (corporate headquarters). These areas include dining and beverage, internet, spa, shore excursions and other revenue-generating categories. This role requires a seasoned and strategic leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, optimizing profit margins, and building and leading a team. #LI-LC1
This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days / week in office in Miami.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive onboard revenue strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives, market trends, and guest preferences.
Revenue Optimization: Analyze sales data, market trends, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for revenue and margin growth. Work with Revenue Management and Onboard Operations to get alignment and implement pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and upselling techniques to maximize revenue.
Product Strategy: Determine optimal bundling, pricing and promotion strategies led by data driven insights and validated with testing.
Marketing Strategy: Develop marketing strategies to communicate and maximize revenue opportunities to booked guests. Work closely with marketing and ecommerce teams to execute, test and optimize marketing efforts.
Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Monitor revenue streams, expenses, and profitability to achieve revenue targets and maximize return on investment.
Organization Development: Build high-performing team to support the newly created Onboard Revenue – U.S. Commercial business unit.
Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in commercially oriented roles such as marketing or revenue management
Broad experience in direct sales/marketing, through digital channels, of consumer branded products/services
Experience developing ancillary revenue streams, preferrable in travel/hospitality or analogous categories
Proven track record of successfully leading revenue-generating teams and achieving financial targets in a complex, multi-faceted environment.
Previous experience in leaderships roles and developing high-performance teams
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to drive revenue growth.
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset, innovative spirit, and entrepreneurial drive.
Proficiency in financial analysis, and budget management
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
