In line with MSC Cruises policies and procedures and under the supervision of the SPA Manager, the Acupuncturist is responsible for administering the highest quality Acupuncture services to onboard guests in order to maximise SPA revenue and achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction.
• Promotes and delivers acupuncture treatments and consultations;
• Recommends and promotes retail homecare products;
• Sets up and manages multiple treatment rooms daily;
• Hosts regular wellness events and informational sessions;
• Builds relationships with guests and keep a track of their records;
• Collaborate with the Spa team to improve guests experience and sales;
• Assists in all areas of the SPA operation as requested by the SPA Manager;
• Follows on board policies and procedures and presents a professional image;
• Proficient speaking, reading, and writing skills in English, and with a fluent level in at least 1 of the following languages: German, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian. Any other language is considered as a plus;
• Must hold a nationally recognized Certificate or License in Traditional Chinese Medicine (at least 2000 hours);
• Previous acupuncturist experience;
• Cruise ship experience is considered as a plus;
• Ability to publicly speak on Traditional Chinese Medicine topics;
• Comfortable working in a sales-oriented job (sales training will be provided);
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills;
• Basic IT knowledge;
• Possess a valid passport and when possible a seaman book copy.
