The Traveling Fleet Supervisor will oversee rigging, performer flying winches, stage machinery systems, and automation controls on site, leveraging broad expertise in Show and Multimedia systems with a specialization in automation and rigging. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining safe and compliant use of all rigging systems according to company policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, the supervisor may support the MSC CM UK Show & Multimedia department in the design, installation, commissioning, and both scheduled and ad hoc service support for the current fleet.
• Provide direct support in maintaining all SMT rigging, stage machinery, automation equipment/systems
• Provide technical support across all relevant equipment, including general SMT infrastructure support
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported with relevant equipment
• Supervise the installation and testing of new rigging facilities and equipment
• Support planned regular inspections and maintenance per manufacturers’ manuals and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional colleagues
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure high-quality support is consistently delivered• Assist in show installations and commissioning
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of MSC products and features
• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a positive, solution-oriented attitude
• Provide remote support to vessels as needed
• Specific certifications or studies within an Automation Engineering and Rigging function (TAIT, VHMS, or Alfa System for example).
• Minimum of five years of experience in Cruise automation and Rigging
• Experience in sailing onboard the Cruise sector within a Production & Automation function
• Experience in conducting and completing onboard inspections within staging, machinery, and performance related areas
• The ability to support the wider team with problem-solving skills
