The Sales Executive is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of travel agencies within a designated geographic area. This includes driving sales growth, increasing the number of active travel agencies, and providing ongoing support for booking-related issues, as well as delivering training on products and services. We are seeking a Sales Executive based in Bogotá, Colombia, who will oversee the development of the Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador regions.
• Drives sales growth for the travel agency portfolio and increases the number of active agencies to meet South America’s revenue targets.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing accounts by planning and conducting regular, independent on-site visits. Analyses sales trends and performance, providing actionable insights and reports.
• Promotes MSC Cruises’ latest offers, particularly special promotions, by presenting them to accounts and persuading them to advertise, communicate, and sell these offers.
• Identifies and develops new business opportunities, including travel agency accounts and sales partnerships, with a focus on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) business.
• Provides day-to-day support to the portfolio of travel agencies, addressing booking issues and offering training on MSC Cruises' products and services to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
• Participates in and presents at industry events organized by travel agencies, helping to raise awareness and enhance the MSC Cruises brand. Attends trade fairs and other exhibitions.
• Coordinates and delivers training sessions on MSC Cruises' products and services for travel agencies. Organizes and leads familiarization trips to showcase offerings.
• Travels to and supports agencies and operators in Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador, ensuring regional growth and success.
• Degree in Tourism (not mandatory).
• Experience in international tourism industry.
• Previous experience in client relations within the travel agency sector.
• Own client portfolio (not mandatory).
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Preferably based in Bogotá - Colombia.
• Results-oriented, with strong relationship-building skills and proven negotiation abilities.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and a willingness to travel daily.
