JOB PURPOSE
MSC Cruises, the world's third-largest cruise line brand, is experiencing unprecedented growth in the U.S. market and embarking on an ambitious Digital Transformation program to enhance operations, elevate customer experiences, and drive innovation. As part of this transformation, the Sr. Technical Analyst & Project Lead will play a critical role in shaping the future of MSC Cruises’ digital channels by establishing, managing and supporting features and roadmaps that deliver measurable business value and align with the company’s strategic objectives.
In this role, the Technical Analyst & Project Lead will leverage a blend of business analysis and project management expertise to drive the successful execution of digital initiatives. This includes collaborating closely with IT, digital stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery, seamless integration, and optimal performance of new solutions. By delivering scalable and impactful digital capabilities, this role will directly contribute to MSC Cruises’ continued growth in the U.S. market.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project DeliveryCapture, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders by facilitating workshops and conducting meetings to gather detailed functional and non-functional requirements.Develop and maintain documentation of best practices and operational processes.Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure detailed, actionable requirements.Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to provide documentation for requirements and business decisions.Act as a key advisor to stakeholders, influencing decisions with data-driven insights and technical expertise.Partner with IT and Digital stakeholders to plan and execute roadmap aligned to business initiatives.Engage with vendors, third parties, and corporate teams in an agile environment to support product development and enhancements.Foster collaboration and alignment within a matrix organizational structure, supporting effective teamwork and decision-making across diverse teams.Support / TroubleshootingSupport the digital transformation program, as well as ongoing complex IT projects.Support, test and respond to support tickets, track and document production defects, and maintain detailed resolution histories.Identify risks in digital operations and implement proactive measures to minimize potential disruptions.Identify and support system improvements as well as respond to and troubleshoot system issues promptly, coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and fixes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on setup, integration, testing, and operational updates.
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.4+ years of developing and executing enterprise-wide initiatives in a large business functional and complex technology landscape, preferably in a global organization.Proficiency in SDLC and Agile methodologies, including writing clear user stories and test cases.Experience participating in or conducting requirement gathering sessions, such as workshops, interviews, and meetings.Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments, effectively navigating tasks with minimal documentation, managing competing priorities, and overcoming communication challenges to deliver solutions.Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.Good understanding of software application terminologies (e.g Event-driven architecture, Microservices, API, DevOps, CMS).Experience working with e-commerce tools like AEM, Adobe Target or similar.Agile and product-centric mindset to deliver incremental value with continuous innovation.Experience with monitoring, logging, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Splunk, JIRA, Dynatrace) or equivalent.Experience working in travel industry strongly preferred.
