This new entity will provide marine and technical support to the MSC Cruises fleet within the USA region and will serve as a vital link to our MSC Cruise Management Office in London. As Manager, Show and Multimedia Operations, you will be responsible for the operations of the Show & Multimedia Technologies department, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. The key areas within this role include audio/DSP, digital video, broadcast, stage machinery, automation, rigging, and lighting. The position may also involve contributing to new projects, overseeing dry dock processes for continuity, maintaining regular updates with traveling staff for support. All operations are based on the USA region, requiring alignment and collaboration with stakeholders within this shared framework, but remain reporting to the Show & Multimedia Technologies UK management.
• Operational Oversight: ensures that the US region’s daily processes are running smoothly, whilst monitoring activities to maintain quality standards meeting deadlines and guarantee continuity across operations and Dry Dock activities.
• Troubleshooting: identifies and supports troubleshooting technical issues across the area, ensuring minimal downtime and effective problem resolution collaborating with team members and relevant departments to analyse root causes and implement long-term solutions.
• Travelling Fleet Supervisors: maintains regular catchups with Traveling Fleet Supervisors in the canvas to ensure schedules align with operational requirements, company standards and guidelines.
• Process Optimization: Analyses workflows and proposes improvements to increase efficiency and reduces resource waste and unnecessary delays.
• Budget, warehouse and Resource Management: plans and monitors logistics and warehouse management, operational costs to ensure they stay within budget and collaborates with other departments to ensure effective resource utilization.
• Reporting and Analysis: provides regular performance reports and identifies issues and proposes data-driven solutions. Supplier and Groups relations: ensures customer technical expectations are met and coordinates with suppliers to maintain a consistent supply of materials and/or services.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensures all operations comply with company standards and reference safety/quality regulations, overseeing the implementation of procedures to minimize risks.
• Communication: coordinates and implements requests from productions and other colleagues communicating effectively with team members, travelling fleet supervisor, and other stakeholders.
• MSC environment: demonstrates a strong understanding of MSC products and features, collaborating and communicating effectively with other departments to ensure excellent support is consistently delivered.
• A minimum of five years' experience working within the Cruise Industry, with experience in Production / Show and Multimedia Management functions
• Experience in all areas of Show and Multimedia within the Cruise industry.
• Degree qualified, or holding similar qualifications in Media Technologies, Show & Multimedia, or similar.
• Experience in conducting or supporting with on-board inspections, specifically relating to Show & Multimedia Technologies, equipment, and rigging
• US Passport or US Permanent Resident
