LINE MANAGER: Manager Sourcing & Procurement
Reporting to MSC USA Director of Procurement, responsible for managing transactional procurement requests related to Food and Beverage category, creates purchase orders, and monitors order status throughout lifecycles. Ensures the timely processing of order requisitions, monitors delivery status, and reports timely updates to stakeholders. Collaborates with Procurement, Logistics, Planning and Product & Project teams for the proper execution of ordering process. Liaises with shipboard personnel to ensure efficient ordering and loading operations.
Responsible for Food & Beverage purchasing orders related to US based vessels and MSC Ocean Cay.
This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in the office, in Miami.
Value Added:
improves the service level provided to the operations and vessels
optimizes the cost and lead time of order processing
identifies waste in the supply chain and follow up on cost reduction initiatives
Review requisitions (RDA) received from shipboard personnel prior to purchase order creation.
Report to procurement manager on shortages and delays for proper corrective actions and local sourcing if container items.
Provide ongoing support for all purchasing activities, contracted and non-contracted requests.
Follow up with supplier’s deliveries prior to loadings.
Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies related to receiving goods and payment issues.
Resolve supplier issues related to delays and discrepancies based on Procurement procedures.
Maintain updated Company’s ERP, Procurement_e_Platform system and Discrepancy Reports.
Comply with US Federal Laws and MSC policies & procedures.
Ability to respond to weekend calls and delivery follow-ups as needed.
College degree - preferably in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in purchasing, preferably within the cruise line industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle/MMS, Navision, or equivalent.
Knowledge of CRUNCHTIME is a plus.
Problem solver and team player.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
